I will always remember where I was and what I was doing the moment I heard of his passing. While with the recent news and rumors circulating about his health I suspected it was coming, the reality however was like a blow to the body. Like many of you, I'm sure, l didn't want to believe it. 

We have lost a piece of American music history. 

Wasted Words has, for the last 3 years, had the great privilege of playing the music of the Allman Brothers Band knowing he was still with us and always hoping he'd come back to town on his next tour so we could see another of his great shows.

His presence will be sorely missed  

Always know that we will continue to celebrate Gregg, his music and the Allman Brothers Band to the best of our ability and in a manner that will hopefully make him, his brother and the rest of the band proud.

Thank you Gregg for the great music and inspiration you have been to us in Wasted Words and so many others, and to our followers, thank you for allowing us to share his great music with you.
